Message	switch has to be bypassed in an manual tranny car. For me to operate my remote start, I have to hold two buttons down. That would be hard for me to accidentally do. Unfortunately, since he pushed the button, I doubt that the shop could be held responsible. If one of the shop employees hit the button, then I can see the shop being held liable. It's a freak accident, but I don't think he can win this one. When I remote start the car... I know my car is in neutral. I never remote start my car on a hill, just in case, and I only remote start sometimes. I don't do that on a day to day basis.
